Married to the CIA

Yesterday was one of those days when you feel like your brain belongs in a skillet being fried.  In my frantic trip from getting the car inspected (which took about 2 hours longer than necessary), I managed to lock my keys in my car.  A locksmith came out today to free me from my captivity.  Three years ago, I would've just handed him the money, thanked him kindly, and we'd both be on our way.  But no, not now that I'm married to a CIA agent lawyer.  He had me out there taking photos of the interior of the car beforehand, to make sure the locksmith didn't scratch or ding my car in any way.  And when he left, either out of sheer instinct or due to his methods he has instilled in my brain, I immediately rummaged through my purse searching for all my belongings to make sure they were still in tact.

Not to mention, I have receipts of EVERY item I've ever purchase online stored in a folder.  My own doing?  I think not.  Before Matthew, I was just a girl out in a field picking daisies.  Nowadays I'm thinking of scenarios and ways to cover my own hiney if things go south.  Ahh, thank you, my dear husband, for entering me into the catastrophic world of paranoia. :)

** Think these dresses are rad??

Check out RubyPearl on Etsy.  Her pieces are more intricate and unique than anything I've seen on Etsy.  I nearly fell out of my chair when I found out she's designed dresses for Patty Griffin!

Seems like CIA Matthew would have had an extra copy of the key made BEFORE you ever had a chance to lock them in your car! ; ) Great job on these!

Holy cow. I just shot there today - it's insane how my realtor's headshot shots are SO different from your fashion shots. Seriously. I'm floored. Love love love these shots.

You utilized the palms so well, and the last shot...is my favorite. Amazing. Those darn peacocks were so...tame!

Wow. I could NEVER pull those dresses off, but I LOVE the peacock one! Too cool. And you married Mr. Make-you-paranoid-about-getting-your-identity-stolen? I married Mr. Make-you-paranoid-there's-some-guy-with-a-knife-in-every-bathroom-stall-ready-to-rape-and-kill-you. Boys. I remember the days of picking flowers in the fields too.

Hi Rachel!

I love these photos they are absolutely gorgeous, & I would love to post some of them on the blog I write for pink salon (http://www.pinkaustin.blogspot.com). We carry ruby pearl dresses, and this is an excellent example of her style and charisma.

Can I use some of these images? I would definitely credit your photography & link back here to your blog and/or website if you give me that address (if you have one you'd like traffic to be directed towards).

Thanks!!! Best,
-Tyler
